Cookies are the small files which are stored by your browser and websites uses them to know your preferences.
They are used by advertisers to deliver relevant Ads on to the sites you open in your browser. Some of them will be deleted automatically after they expire and some will persist longer even for years also.
All the modern browsers are providing “deleting or blocking cookies” options.
But, care should be taken while blocking some cookies as they are necessary to run some sites properly.
